1 book down, 24 to go...

Ok, so as I previously stated I'm doing this 5 in 5 reading challenge. I just finished my fist book, which just so happened to be in the Chick-Lit category. It was Confessions of a Shopaholic. It was interesting. It's not necessarily my cuppa, but it was definitely interesting. Most of the beginning of the book just irritated me; a fact which I made well known to my current flatmates. The financial trouble the main character gets herself into and her inability to cope with it just hurt to read. But as I forced myself to keep going I did enjoy the way things turned around for her. I also loved experiencing another book version of London. I miss that town. Although I don't think I'll be picking up another of the Shopaholic books any time soon, I am interested in moving on to another book in the Chick-Lit category to see what I find. As mentioned in the last post about the challenge, I would appreciate suggestions, I still have one to two empty spots to fill for that category.

My next book is a biography. It's Dearie: The Remarkable Life of Julia Child. It's larger than I was expecting,  but I'm excited about diving in.
