The Invisible Library

One of the coolest things about working for a bookstore is having access to advanced readers of books! These are the, often, uncorrected proofs authors, agents, and publishers send out to bookstores to let us decide if we're interested in carrying them, or to help them promote it by reading it before it comes out and talking it up!

I just finished reading The Invisible Library by Genevieve Cogman and while it's been out in the UK for a while, it's only just about to hit shelves here in America. It had been recommended to me by goodreads.com as a book I would like since I have enjoyed Jasper Fforde, Neil Gaiman, Ben Aaronovitch, etc., and goodreads got it right! I really enjoyed the book. It was like a tasty chocolate fondue fountain. There's mystery, there's fantasy, there's sci-fi, etc.,... From Librarians to Fae, Dragons, Detectives, and Dirigibles, multi-dimensions/multi-worlds; it's got a bit of everything. It is very much for those of us who are readers and who have always wanted to be able to step into our favorite stories. Along with a chance to get to know the key players, I am excited to see what the next books in the series will bring with them! You can pre-order it here!
