Bonjour,
Although I don't have wifi (pronounced wee-fee en Francais) here on the train I figured that I would compose a blog to you. Hopefully I'll have wifi in Nice to send it. But today has been an adventure, from rushing to catch the train from our suburb of Paris to taking the Paris Metro to our train station: Gare d'Lyon. Then on the train to Toulon I half-understood what the ticket guy told me and my parents we had to do and see in Nice. And now, I'm sitting on a side-board sort of thing on the train from Toulon to Nice. Mom and Dad both are in fold-down seats and I'm next to them. It's fun and reminds me of one of the connecting commuter trains I caught in Wales, but much warmer and with different scenery of course. I am missing Scotland so much, but I'm looking forward to getting back to CA. But all of the good Britishness is being replaced by my high school French, I'm afraid. Good thing we fly back out through Aberdeen so I can see it and brush up on my Scottish slang. I am already missing it and the people there. I can't imagine what this will feel like when I'm farther away. Maybe I can, it may be very similar to how I felt, when I arrived on this side of the world, about home. But it has been a great year. And believe it or not it has almost been one year exactly since I left the States. That exact day will come when I am in Firenze (Florence).
Á bientôt. (see you later)
